Just a short drive from Madrid city centre lies a host of vineyards that make up the denominación de origen of Madrid. A wine region split into four sub-zones, each with something special of its own.
Even though the D.O. is relatively young, the winemaking practices and history of wine in this region go back centuries.
We offer you the chance to visit one of the sub-zones and a winery, where our guide will give you details about the region as a whole and the specific sub-zone visited.
Our guide is native English and also a Spanish wine scholar who will conduct a tour of a winery producing quality wines before concluding with a tasting.
Whether it's in the mountains with spectacular views or among the tinajas of winemaking cellars, we're sure you'll enjoy this half day experience where a qualified guide (also native English) accompanies you to two wineries to learn more about their practices before concluding each visit with a tasting and snacks.
