DURATION


You will be picked up from your Queenstown or surrounding accommodation at 1pm and dropped home at approximately 5pm. The finish time depends on how long you want to spend at the last winery, what sights you want to see on the way back, and where your accommodation is located. From Queenstown, the Gibbston Valley sub-region is approximately a 30-minute drive.
If you have dinner plans, we are able to drop you off at any of the areas mentioned below. Additionally, if you have purchased wine, we can leave enough time to drop your wine home on the way to dinner.
We provide transfers to and from the following suburbs: Fernhill/Sunshine Bay, Frankton, Arthur’s Point, Arrowtown, Dalefield, Goldfield’s Heights, Jack’s Point, Hanley’s Farm, Kelvin Heights, Lake Hayes, Queenstown.
Please contact us if you would like to arrange pick up and drop off to a location not mentioned, and we can advise if this would incur an additional cost or not.
TRANSPORTATION
Our Range Rover Sport offers the utmost luxury as you are transported between wineries. With a fixed-panoramic sunroof, you can take in all that this mountainous landscape has to offer.
If you love music as much as we do, be in complete control of the playlist by either connecting your phone or queuing songs on our iPad. Let us know your favourite songs/artists beforehand or on the day, and we’ll make sure to have some of your favourites ready to go!
Complimentary bubbles and bottled water are supplied.
GUIDE & SERVICE
You will be guided by one of our owner-operators, Elyse or Luke. While Elyse is our primary guide, you may be lucky enough to be hosted by Luke on occasion. Elyse is from South Australia, and Luke is a born and bred Kiwi. However, they both bring their shared passion for connecting guests with the wine, scenery, and people of this incredible region.
WINERIES
This tour includes hosted tastings at three Gibbston/Arrowtown wineries. Wineries visited typically include Mt Rosa, Chard Farm, Kinross or Nockie's Palette.
If you have any specific wineries you would like to visit instead, we would love to customise this tour for you. Please contact us prior to booking at info@luxewineadventures.co.nz to ensure we can meet your requests. Alternatively, let us know your preferences at checkout, and we will do our best to customise this tour where possible.
TASTINGS
All tastings typically include a selection of white, rosé, and red wines and take between 30 – 40 minutes. Due to the boutique nature of some of the cellar doors visited, during busy periods your tasting may be combined with another small group at Kinross and Chard Farm. Additionally, all tastings are seated with the exception of Chard Farm. FOOD
A light shared platter is included in this tour. At least one of the wineries visited will have the option of ordering additional platter food if you wish, which you may purchase directly from the venue.
SIGHTSEEING
Enjoy a scenic drive from Queenstown to Gibbston Valley. Depending on the time available, drive through historic Arrowtown, stop at a Queenstown lookout, or visit the Kawarau Bungy Bridge.
