Admire the Chiesa del Gesù, one of the most important baroque churches in Palermo, and the Palazzo Pretorio, an exceptional 15th-century building.
Continue towards Piazza Pretoria, defined by locals as the "square of shame" due to the nakedness of the fountain statues. Also explore the nearby Piazza Bellini where you will find the Church of San Cataldo and the Church of Martorana, also from the Norman era and UNESCO world heritage sites. Along the way, your guide will take you through the renowned Cape Market.
Observe lively scenes and appreciate the multitude of smells, textures and colorful foods as you move through the stalls. Plus, you'll also be able to buy and taste some of the city's popular street food, including panelle, crocché, sfincione and arancine. End the tour right in the center of historic Palermo, Piazza Villena, a baroque square also known as the Quattro Canti. This was built in the early 1600s at the intersection of the 2 main streets of Palermo: via Vittorio Emanuele and via Maqueda.
