Your guided tour begins early morning. The sanctuary’s nocturnal residents have just headed back to their burrows. As the valley awakens, watch the light change and let the crisp winter morning refresh and invigorate your senses. Being the first and only visitors in the valley, you are in for an exclusive, undisturbed experience. Listen to the beautiful dawn chorus, observe the bird’s cheerful morning activity, and feel reconnected to nature again. Your tour group will pause in the forest to enjoy a peaceful moment of quiet time with a hot cup of kawakawa tea.
At the end of the tour, recharge with breakfast at Rātā café as a reward for your early start. Ticket price includes the tea break in the valley, and a la carte breakfast with barista coffee/ hot drink at the café.
