Looking to ride the NZ's highest bike park? We've got a solid team of professionals that will not only help you with your skills but also to make sure your experience stays fun, fast and flowy on this epic Alpine Descent.
- You will need to have experience mountain biking prior to this. This is Alpine terrain so not everyone's cup of tea. This also means that if you already have prior mountain biking experience on grade 2-3 trails your overall experience at Cardrona will only be that much more fulfilling.
- Our coaches with years of experience know what techniques and skills are best suited to your ability and then move on take you on trails that match your skills with challenge.
Your day would look something like this:
8:00 - 8:30: Being picked up from your accommodation in Queenstown in our shuttle van.
8:30 - 10:00: Drive to Cardrona Alpine Resort: Includes a coffee stop.
10:00 - 10:30: Safety briefing, bike collection (if rented) and checks.
10:30 - 11:30: Skill learning, practice in the skills park.
11:30 - 12:30: Once the coach is confident with your riding, they will take you on the lift to begin some truly epic descents. This first half of the day will still focus on the skills being taught - we will look at features, assess lines and get a better understanding of how braking works on different features, terrain etc while exploring the truly majestic alpine terrain that Cardrona alpine resort has to offer.

12:30 - 1:00: Lunch at the alpine cafe
1:00 - 3:30: All of our morning lessons and teachings are preparing you to ride consistently post lunch.
After the lunch break we will aim to progress on trails of different gradients and then make the decision to head down on the infamous Peak to Pub descent. This descent is classed as an all time favorite for the many that have experienced Cardrona's trails. Leading directly to the pub - there's very little time between parking your bike and sipping your favorite beverage.
3:30 - 5:00: Food and beverages at the Cardrona hotel

5:00: Leave for Queenstown
Please note: Only transport and lift tickets are included in pricing. You may choose to pay for your own food and beverages. Any rental equipment can be hired for an extra day rate.
