Departing from our Christchurch Heli port to the Southern Alps,
you start to see the vast tapestry of the Canterbury Plains.
The Canterbury Plains, an area of braided rivers and
pastoral farmland nestled between the Southern Alps and the Pacific Ocean. The
plains are a remarkable sight from the air, a patchwork of agricultural
activity that ranges from grazing grasses, wheat, herbs, sunflowers beef,
sheep, and deer.
Your flight will take you alongside and up through the gorge of
The Waimakariri River, one of the largest braided rivers in Canterbury.
The mighty Waimakariri river flows from the Southern Alps across the Canterbury
Plains to the Pacific Ocean.
Look down on the array of ancient limestone boulders in the Castle
Hill area. A popular climbing and hiking area.
Several ski fields come to life in the winter in the Castle Hill
Basin.
You will be able to see the route of the Transalpine railway
through to the upper reaches of the river and disappear into the Arthur’s Pass
National Park.
Experience your spectacular remote mountain landing on a summit to
breathe in the fresh alpine air.

Legal age to consume or buy alcohol in New Zealand is 18 years
old. Identification such as Drivers Licence or Passport must be carried.
Please dress warm as the alpine environment can be cold.
Price is per person for 3 years old plus.
Infants 0 to 2 years old are free of charge and will be secured on
the lap of a fare paying passenger.
Flight is subject to weather.
No refunds for bookings cancelled by passenger within 24 hours of
departure.
Gift Vouchers are valid for 12 months from date of purchase.
Prices increase yearly on the 1st of September until the 31st of
August.
