In this full day sketching and watercolour art adventure, we adventure through this extraordinary landscape and into the heart of nature, exploring the hidden view points for a full day of creative inspiration. Giving you the opportunity to connect with the environment and your creativity, where you will make your own lasting memory to take home. Guided by your experienced art tutor and Queenstown local. You will capture the stunning scenery and explore the mountains around you through your own lens - regardless of your experience, as all levels are welcome. Across the day we visit two locations that will capture your imagination, This adventure is for all levels and includes just a small amount of walking.
Providing many photo opportunities and to discuss the options for sketching compositions. Whether you have experience or not, your personal Art tutor and guide will help you create a beautiful small series of drawings in your complimentary moleskin sketchbook. With your new art materials in hand together you will observe and explore the landscape in detail, capturing what you see from direct observation.
Sketching is a great entry point for those that are new to art. As well as confident artists, to explore the shapes and contours of new places. We draw on location outdoors, ‘ en plein-air’ - which literally means : in the open air. This way capturing the light and the forms as we see from direct observation. We will provide you with lots of tips and techniques so you are able to continue sketching long after the excursion ends.
You will need to bring :
A camera
A jacket
Sunglasses & Hat
Binoculars if you have them
Good walking shoes
