Mauao Adventures Mount Maunganui Stand Up Paddle Boarding (SUP)

Come and journey with us on a SUP Adventure to explore and connect with our moana (sea) and whenua (land). Surrounded by water in all its corners, Tauranga boasts a popular harbour entrance and beautiful beaches, and our proudly local and Māori crew guide you on a unique experience to meet these areas.
SUP Adventure If you are new to SUP, start with an on-shore lesson learning basic paddling technique. Enter the water and be assisted to develop your technique and comfortability. We paddle to our ancestral mountain, Mauao, at a cruisy adventurous pace. Hear the stories of both ancient and recent times. Enjoy a snack and short walk on the mountain in the harbour entrance at Te Kawa beach.
Includes: Lesson and all equipment needed. Snacks and beverages.


You can choose to be collected from the gates of the Port of Tauranga, or meet us onsite.


Important Information Before Booking
A moderate level of fitness is
required to participate.
Come prepared to get wet. We cannot guarantee you staying dry.
There will be a safe space to leave
belongings at your own risk while you paddle.
